Wedding prep

Well here goes my first post.  The wedding plans are going great!  We have colors picked, center pieces made, a venue, a caterer, and almost everything else.  The only stresses seem to be my wedding isn't coming fast enough!!! Oh and I don't have an officiant....That's a little important!  This wedding planning has been magical.  It has been a fun challenge to stay within a budget and actually lowering the budget!!  It is kind of a game between my fiance and I as to how we can stay under budget and kind of prove everyone wrong about the need for an expensive wedding.  I am having a princess wedding and it will be perfect for me!  I am very demanding and particular about the things I have and I am not compromising on any of my plans, AND STILL UNDER BUDGET!!!!   The trick is knowing what you can make, buy on bulk, and finding people to help.  I am very fortunant though!  I have family that own different wedding services.   But as much as you may go, "I don't want family working my wedding...I want them watching and enjoying it."    Here is what I realized, most would love to help out and noone cares as much about your wedding as you.  Some people who would be willing to help out, may not actually care about sitting in the audience for your wedding.  I even have family who will not see the wedding at all (the caterer for example) but his response was, "I don't really need to see the wedding!!!  Guess what not everyone cares to watch your wedding...
This wedding is your day.  Don't stress about what everyone else wants.  If you start to try to please everyone else, you will go over budget and be stressed about little details.  Make it fun, keep guests in mind, but don't forget ulimately it's your day!  Enjoy it, don't overplan and expect perfection!
